I’ve been fascinated by wheel turned pottery since seeing it on TV when I was seven. It took sixty more years before I actually put my hands in clay. It was love at first touch and I haven’t looked back. From the very beginning I have always wanted my work to look “un-modern” in a contemporary kind of way. Through surface design, experimentation - and serendipity - I try and push the boundaries of technique and expression so that each of my pieces has a contemporary aesthetic that evokes connection and feeling to something more ancient. A dialogue between the past and present.
